  • House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney asked the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to address the “barriers” to monkeypox treatment. Maloney noted that there have been numerous reports about limited testing capacity and vaccine availability. She requested that HHS staff brief the committed on their efforts to ensure affordable access to monkeypox treatments. Her request came days after Senate HELP Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray voiced similar concerns to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra. (Article here)
