  • Amazon announced it plans to acquire One Medical in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $3.9 billion including the company’s net debt. Founded in 2007, One Medical has established itself as a tech-integrated and consumer-focused primary care platform. It has expanded from a single clinic in San Francisco to 188 offices in 29 offices, covering 767,000 members. Neil Lindsay, senior vice president of Amazon Health Services, said that the acquisition is part of Amazon’s goal to “reinvent” health care. (Press release here; Articles here, here, here, and here)
