- Updated HHS data showed that 951 children were hospitalized with COVID-19 on Wednesday — the highest number throughout the pandemic. The numbers surpassed previous records set during the delta wave this summer, when daily children hospitalizations reached a peak of nearly 400 in one day. In total, more than 3,100 children are hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 as of Thursday, with another 1,300 suspected to be infected with the virus. (Article here)
