  • The CMS released a proposed rule outlining several regulatory changes for Medicare Advantage (MA) and Medicare Part D starting in 2023. The changes include: 1) requiring all Part D plans to apply the concessions they get from drugmakers to the point-of-sale, 2) stipulating that MA plan applicants show they have a sufficient network of contracted providers before the agency approves an application for any new or expanded MA plan, 3) increasing transparency in the reporting of medical loss ratios (MLRs), and 4) improving care for dual-eligibles.
