  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a study indicating that over half of U.S. adults support banning sales of all tobacco products and nearly two-third support banning menthol cigarette sales. Although cigarette smoking has declined in recent decades, it remains the leading cause of preventable disease, disability, and death in the U.S., where nearly 31 million adults currently smoke.
