- A bipartisan group of lawmakers urged President Biden to reinstate the Office of National Drug Control Policy’s director to a cabinet-level position to help improve the administration’s efforts addressing the overdose epidemic. The group commended Biden for prioritizing the opioid epidemic in his State of the Union address last year and asked that announce the reinstatement during his State of the Union address on February 7.
