- The Biden administration bought enough of an experimental monoclonal antibody drug from Eli Lilly & Co. to treat 600,000 COVID-19 patients. According to health officials, the treatment to be shipped to states for free if it’s authorized by regulators. The deal is worth at least $720 million, Eli Lilly said, and comes after two of the country’s monoclonal antibodies turned out to be ineffective against the omicron variant. (Articles here and here)
