  • According to an Axios analysis of federal data, approximately 75 percent of Medicare Advantage (MA) patients are enrolled in health plans run by just six insurers. The analysis found that three – UnitedHealth Group Inc., Humana Inc., and CVS Health Corp. – have seen considerable increases in membership compared to the same time last year, and that the federal government pays MA plans an average of more than $1,000 per patient per month.
