  • President Biden today plans to release an updated national strategy to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The goal of the strategy is to reduce new HIV infections by 90 percent by 2030 by shoring up funding for research, increasing access to treatment, and addressing racism’s role in health care. The president also requested $670 million for continued implementation of the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. initiative — $267 million more than previous levels. (Articles here and here)
