  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is seeking to fine Merck for cutting off 340B sales to hospitals’ contract pharmacies. Merck previously told its covered entities that they must participate in the pharma company’s program integrity initiative or Merck would cut off sales to their contract pharmacies. In May, HRSA warned Merck that it must cease the program. Merck claimed that the program is an effort to curb duplicate discounts offered to facilities via both 340B and Medicaid. (Article here)
