  • Three labor organizations filed a petition indicating that they think the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate is too limited in applying to only large businesses. The AFL-CIO and the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union filed a petition in federal court last week asking the Occupational Health and Safety Administration to review the new federal vaccine policy. Service Employees International Union (SEIU) 32BJ, which is a part of the larger SEIU also filed a petition. “We believe that we all have to do our part to help our communities return to normal and that the COVID vaccine or test mandate should be broader in scope to also apply to employers with less than 100 employees,” SEIU 32BJ President Kyle Bragg said Monday. “An exemption for these employers undermines the effort to protect public health.” (Articles here and here)
