- The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices unanimously endorsed the full approval of Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for Americans ages 16 and older. While the recommendation isn’t binding, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is expected to accept the panel’s endorsement. The panel also said the evidence on boosters is not clear and thus did not vote on recommendations.
