  • Covax, the global vaccine-sharing program backed by the World Health Organization, cut its COVID-19 vaccination forecast by about 25 percent for 2021 and will deliver a total of 1.4 billion doses this year, short of its target of 2 billion shots. The slashed expectations come after India’s pause on exports from a major vaccine maker, manufacturing challenges in the U.S. and elsewhere and delays in regulatory authorization for some vaccines.
