  • President Joe Biden said Democrats will likely have to break up their roughly $2 trillion social spending bill, which includes multiple health care provisions, in order to get it through Congress. Biden also defended his COVID-19 response, saying that his administration could have “done more testing earlier” but that the country won’t again experience the lockdowns and school closures from earlier in the pandemic.
