- The American Hospital Association (AHA) is calling on the Biden administration to extend COVID-19 emergency declarations that are set to expire. In letters to President Biden and HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, the AHA said that providers “need the assistance and flexibility from the federal government” during the latest pandemic surge. The public health emergency is set to expire January 16, while the national emergency for the COVID-19 pandemic is set to expire March 1. (Article here)
