- The CDC plans to roll out 10 million doses of Pfizer Inc.-BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine for young children in three phases as soon as the FDA authorizes the shots. According to an agency planning document, states could begin receiving vaccine shipments on February 21. State and local health officials are already able to preorder the first doses.
