- Anthony Fauci said in a CNN interview that things are headed in the “right direction” as COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths trend downward. However, he cautioned that people shouldn’t “just throw your hands up and say it’s all over” given that 68 million eligible Americans remain unvaccinated and the country could see another wave of infections.
