  • HRA Pharma asked the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to authorize its birth control pill for over-the-counter sales, the first such application in the U.S., which comes just weeks after the fall of Roe v. Wade. The drugmaker’s chief strategic and innovations officer said the timing of the application is “a really sad coincidence.” Cadence Health said it is also in contact with the FDA about converting its pill to over-the-counter sales, with an application likely slated for the coming year.
