  • The Biden administration officials notified Congress on Friday that they need at least $5 billion in additional funds to keep battling the COVID-19 pandemic overseas. The funding would support vaccinating the world ($2.55 billion), therapeutics and supplies ($1.7 billion), and humanitarian aid ($750 million). The figure is much less than $19 billion agencies originally suggested would be needed. (Article here)
