  • A CDC survey of blood donations shows that more than 80 percent of Americans 16 and older have some level of immunity against COVID-19. The results also indicate that about twice as many people have been infected with the virus as have been officially counted. More than 39 million Americans have been diagnosed with virus since the pandemic started last year. CDC data also show that approximately 52.7 percent of the total U.S. population are fully vaccinated. However, of the 10 states with the worst COVID-19 case rates over the past week, seven of them also had among the 10 best vaccination rates. (Article here)
