  • The Department of Health and Human Services proposed nixing a Trump-era “sunset rule” that would have given the agency five years to review all of its previous regulations. Any rule that didn’t get reviewed within five years would be pulled. The rule also would require HHS to examine every regulation 10 years after its publication date to determine whether it is still applicable or needs to be amended or rescinded. HHS, which previously delayed implementation of the rule, argued that it could strain the agency’s resources and “impede the department’s routine operations.” (Article here)
