  • Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone and Senate Finance Chairman Ron Wyden both told reporters that drug prices are still being discussed. According to Wyden, there is agreement on two pieces of the proposal – a rebate when drugmakers raise prices faster than inflation in the Medicare and commercial markets, and a redesign to cap patient costs under the Medicare Part D drug program. Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is reportedly trying to strike a drug pricing deal between House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone and Representative Scott Peters.
