  • President Joe Biden said during a CNN town hall that the inclusion of expanded dental, hearing, and vision benefits through Medicare in Democrats’ social spending plan is a “reach.” The president said there have been related discussions about potentially giving recipients a $800 voucher for dental work, but he said there has been less consensus on vision coverage. Meanwhile, lawmakers could bolster and extend ACA subsidies for four years — a much shorter period than what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sought — as part of the plan. (Articles here and here)
