  • President Joe Biden will sign an executive order today urging federal officials to lower prescription costs. The order will require the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to outline within 90 days how it will use new models of care and payment to cut drug costs. During his trip to California and Oregon, the president will also encourage seniors to take advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act’s cost-saving provisions as they shop for new health insurance plans.
