Opioid/Substance Use Disorders
  • Michael Bloomberg announced that Bloomberg Philanthropies is making a $120 million investment to help address the opioid epidemic. Five states – Kentucky, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Wisconsin – will each receive $10 million over the next five years. Pennsylvania and Michigan will be allotted an additional $4 million above the first 2018 investment over the next three years. The investment brings the philanthropy’s total commitment to the initiative to $170 million over eight years. (Press release here)
