- The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit on Tuesday affirmed a lower court ruling that blocked Hackensack Meridian Health from acquiring Englewood Hospital. The federal appeals court said the Federal Trade Commission has a strong case to block the merger over concerns that it would substantially lessen competition. Hackensack Meridian Health, which New Jersey’s largest health system, said it is “weighing the next steps.” (Article here)
