  • Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson and three major distributors –AmerisourceBergen Corp., McKesson Corp., and Cardinal Health Inc. – finalized a $26 billion settlement with states and local governments over their role in the opioid epidemic. The nationwide settlements are the largest to date and are expected to provide a significant boost to efforts aimed at reversing the crisis in places that have been devastated by it, including many parts of rural America.
