  • The Department of Justice announced a $15.3 billion settlement with Connections Community Support Programs, a company accused of fraud while providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services at community clinics throughout Delaware. The company, which is the former medical and behavioral health care contractor for the state Department of Correction, will pay $13.7 million to resolve allegations that its providers billed Medicare or Medicaid for mental health services that they were not professionally qualified to offer and another $1.6 million to resolve claims that it violated the federal Controlled Substances Act by failing to keep proper records of its use and transfer of controlled substances.
